Captain Sergio Atanes – S&I Charters

Captain Sergio Atanes grew up fishing the waters of Tampa Bay. He was introduced to fishing at the age of 5 and felt this was his home. After many years on the water, Captain Sergio decided it was time to turn his love of the sea into a business.

In 1985 Captain Sergio started S & I Charters, Inc. (Sergio & Irene) and over the years it has grown into one of the largest charter fishing fleets on the west coast of Florida, with over 45 captains on staff.

Captain Sergio has been a licensed captain since 1985 and currently holds a masters' license of 100 tons. His specialty is inshore light tackle fishing but he feels right at home catching large grouper on the Gulf of Mexico.

He is sponsored by MarineMax, Boston Whaler, Mercury Marine, Eagle Claw and Magic Tilt trailers, just to mention a few.
